Chester is famous for its shopping rows, city walls, Roman ruins, racecourse and of course Chester Zoo. This, together with its shopping malls, boat trips on the Dee, many diverse restaurants, and street entertainment, makes it a vibrant city centre where there is always something to do.

Just ten minutes from the Cottages you will find the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Village, the largest in the UK, the Blue Planet Aquarium and the Maritime Museum.

For the outdoor types, there are four golf clubs within easy reach, beautiful walks to Helsby Hill and the Sandstone trail which offer spectacular views over Cheshire and the Mersey estuary. Delamere Forest is only a five minute drive or thirty minute walk away. There are also many on and off-road, local and national cycle routes in the vicinity, so why not bring your bike!
